The Washington Post described Robert Mitchell’s playing as “precisely articulate, yet bluesy and sensitive.” Mitch has an incredibly wide range of performing experience including the Seattle Opera House, the Chosun Hotel in Seoul, the Palais de Beaux Arts in Brussels, the Music Messe in Frankfurt, Avery Fisher Hall/Lincoln Center in New York, and locally, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Wolf Trap. As a member of the U.S. Army Band for 13 years, he’s performed for Presidents Gerald Ford and George H. W. Bush, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, King Badouin of Belgium and Prince Charles.
