A two-hour class led by an experienced actor/director that explores the art of improvisational acting. Through a series of exercises and theatre games, participants will learn the unwritten rules of improv, and strengthen their ability to listen, maintain their character, focus on the connection between characters and make active choices.

A combination of Street Hip Hop and Commercial dance that will get your body moving! This class begins with a warm up that increases flexibility and strength, leading to across the floor moves that helps build rhythm and coordination, and ending with a new, fun, and energetic combination to your favorite Old School Jams or the latest Hip Hop music! Get ready to have fun while you define those abs!


The partnership between Bowie State University and the Maryland-Capital Parks and Planning Commission brings two powerhouses together at one of the region’s newest state of the art performing arts centers. Working together with the Fine and Performing Arts department at Bowie State University, our programming at the BSU FPAC will educate through innovative courses and lectures led by distinguished faculty; elevate through the presentation of world class performing artists; and entertain through immersive and inclusive performances.
