32nd Annual Choreographers' Showcase Auditions

Dance Theater at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center

Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23, 2014
10 am-6 pm

Residents of Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age and older, may apply to audition new dance works before adjudicators Zvi Gotheiner and Keith A. Thompson. Six finalists will be selected to receive an honorarium of $800 and present their works in concert on January 24, 2015. There is no fee to audition.

Annual World Dance Showcase

Dance companies representing all ethnicities are invited to audition traditional work in any culture-specific style before a panel of experts. Total duration of presentation may not exceed fifteen minutes, and must be auditioned in finished form with costumes. Six dance groups will be selected to perform in concert on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 8 pm at The Publick Playhouse. Selected groups will receive an honorarium of $500 and a professional video recording of their performance. Auditions are by appointment only, and are open to dancers 16 years and older. There is no fee to audition.

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County Arts and Cultural Heritage Division is calling for artists guilds, associations and collaboratives to submit two dimensional works of art that best represents their respective organizations artistic mantra.

The exhibition will be held at the Maryland House of Delegates for the 2015 Prince George’s County Exhibition January-April 2015. Please review eligibility requirements here
