Auditions for A Midsummer Night's Dream
Directed by Christopher Dwyer, auditions will be held January 25, 2014 from 11 am-6 pm. Call-backs will be held on January 27, 2014 at Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park, MD. Actors must prepare a one-minute monologue of the character they wish to portray in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Prince George's Shakespeare Festival supports non-traditional casting; there are no pre-requirements of gender or ethnicity for any role cast. Auditions are free and applicants should email a professional resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please put 'Midsummer Audition Request' in the subject line and indicate a preferred audition time slot (i.e. 11 am, 12 pm, etc.). You will be assigned to an hour-long group slot.

The Prince George's Shakespeare Festival is a project of the M-NCPPC Arts and Cultural Heritage Division, with a goal to provide multicultural and diverse adaptations of Shakespeare's classic texts. We dedicate ourselves to use local actors from Washington, D.C., Prince George's County and surrounding areas. We provide actors competitive pay, high production values and a collaborative rehearsal process. It is our responsibility to present Shakespeare's timeless stories with a thought-provoking outlook, of relevance to today's society.
Annual Choreographers' Showcase at Maryland
The Choreographers' Showcase at Maryland is open to choreographers 18 years and older who reside in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia. Any modern work, not exceeding 15 minutes in length, created within the last two years is eligible. Six choreographers will be selected for performances in January 2014. Choreographers presented will receive an honorarium of $800 and a DVD of their performance. For more information call Christel Stevens at 301-446-3238.

Annual World Dance Showcase
Dance companies are invited to audition traditional work in any culture-specific dance style. Any traditional work, not exceeding 15 minutes in length, in any culture-specific dance style, is eligible. Work must be auditioned in finished form with costumes. Six dance groups will be selected to perform in concert. Selected groups will receive an honorarium of $500, and a professionally-produced DVD of their performance. Showcase is open to performers of traditional, culture-specific dance styles, aged 16 years and older.
