About Brentwood Arts Exchange at
Gateway Arts Center
The Brentwood Arts Exchange is The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission’s component of the public-private partnership Gateway Arts Center, serving as an anchor for Prince George’s County Gateway Arts District.
Dedicated to presenting and promoting the visual arts, the Brentwood Arts Exchange features a contemporary art gallery displaying diverse exhibitions, a Craft Store promoting local artisans, and a dynamic arts learning classroom/workshop.
Since opening in March 2010, it has welcomed more than 32,000 visitors through its doors. As of March 2015, the gallery has presented 32 on-site and 19 off-site exhibitions, featuring regionally prominent artists as well emerging artists and students.
It is a place for people of all ages to meet and learn about art, purchase locally made crafts, and explore new creative talents.
In addition to the Brentwood Arts Exchange, the Center is also home to the following: a dozen artists' studios and the Gateway Community Development Corporation’s 39th Street Gallery.
