Throughout the year, the Brentwood Arts Exchange offers classes and workshops of interest to all ages – from children’s programs to learning opportunities for teens, adults and working artists.

Adult Classes Fall 2014


Create, design and learn the proper and safe way to use power tools for the production of hand-constructed metal jewelry. Learn how different techniques are used to produce a finished piece of jewelry.

An Active Aging Week 2014 Event
This class is your opportunity to learn and make your own mosaic. Led by talented mosaic artist Valerie Theberge, this workshop is for all seniors - with or without art experience. You are encouraged to bring a lunch. The class is free, however, reservations are required.

Teen Classes Fall 2014


Architecture, gaming, industrial design, and 3D printing are all rooted aspects of digital 3D modeling. This course uses hands-on activities to teach the fundamentals of the art form including, 3D geometry, scaling, textures, light/shadow, extruding, camera control, creating scenes, and more. Creative work will happen in Google Sketch-up, which is easy to use and free to download to continue learning from home.

Learn how to create your own fashion-forward scarf just in time for Fall. Learn how to cut, design, and embellish your own cotton scarf. All materials provided. Basic knowledge of hand- stitching with needle and thread needed.

Creative Kids Days are all-day, structured art classes offered on days when Prince George's Public Schools are off. Discover a world where your child can create fun art projects that expand their imagination, express their creativity and sharpen their learning. Young artist are invited to join us for hands-on arts activities that teach skills in art materials, core principles of art, and insights into world cultures.
