Throughout the year, the Brentwood Arts Exchange offers classes and workshops of interest to all ages – from children’s programs to learning opportunities for teens, adults, and working artists.

Harmony: Exploring Relationships Between Art and Music

Description: In this fun-filled workshop, participants will be led through a variety of art and music experiences designed to engage and delight the senses. Truly Creative Journaling

Description: Get your creative juices flowing! Personalize a journal/sketchbook by creating a custom, artistic cover, and learn some easy and fun ways to spark your creativity. Description: Beginning drawing is a great class for anyone who wants to try their hand at something new or who wants to improve their artwork. The course provides artists with a solid foundation in drawing by working with a variety of materials and techniques. We teach students the importance of line, gesture, value, and perspective and how to use these tools in their work.

Jewelry Making

Description: This class is perfect for those that have an interest or love for jewelry. Learn the proper and safe way to use power tools for the production of hand-constructed metal jewelry. Learn how different techniques are used to produce a finished piece of jewelry. A material fee is paid to the instructor on the first day of class.

Creative Kids Days

Creative Kids Days are all-day, structured art classes offered on days when Prince George’s Public Schools are off. Discover a world where your child can create fun art projects that expand their imagination, express their creativity, and sharpen their learning. Young artists are invited to join us for hands-on art activities that teach skills in art materials, core principles of art, and insights into world cultures. Before and After Care available.
