Classes The Publick Playhouse offers a variety of opportunities for residents to participate in the arts through various workshops and camps.

Workshops and master classes are offered throughout the year

Saturday, February 16, 10 am- 12 noon
Adult Acting Class
Pick up some tips from the master by treating yourself to an acting class with John Amos.

Fee: $30/person

Dallas Black Master Classes
Wednesday, April 24, 7:30-9 pm; and
Thursday, April 25, 7:30-9 pm
Dallas Black Dance Theatre Workshops
Areas dancers can train with members of Dallas Black Dance Theatre.
Wednesday:  Modern Dance Workshop
Thursday: Liturgical Dance Workshop
(For advanced dance students only)

Fee: $15/class for participant (no observers)

Tuesday , May 21, 7-8:30 pm
National Fitness Month-RumbaHave fun and get fit with this Latin style dance that originated in Cuba.

Thursday, May 23, 7-8:30pm
Line Dancing

You'll be leading the fun at wedding parties after this choreographed dance workout.

Please wear comfortable clothing. (One workshop per person)
Ages 16 & up
Free; advance reservations required

Summer Day Camps

The Publick Playhouse offers Summer Day Camps for children 7-16 in the performing arts.  Registration for these and other Parks and Recreation camps will be in February 2013. Camp booklets can be picked up from park facilities and county libraries.
