Rental Bring your performance to the Publick Playhouse!

The Publick Playhouse is the premiere showcase venue for central Prince George’s County. Our 494-seat theatre has a generous stage that is 30-feet deep with a 42-foot wide proscenium opening.

Both the acoustics and site lines are exceptional from every seat in the house. The Playhouse is also equipped with a 20-foot electric movie screen for films or multimedia presentations.

Although it welcomes applications for use from any organization, the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission gives pricing priority for rental of its facilities to non-profit performing arts groups based in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties.

Non-profit groups must provide proof of their non-profit status, and all rental groups MUST provide a certificate of $1,000,000 liability insurance, naming the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. 

All rentals include our professional staff who provide lighting, sound, front of house, and box office services.
