Catherine Kleeman: Yard Art

March 26–May 22, 2022

With vibrant colors, lavish textures, and visual depth, Catherine Kleeman’s inspiration lies in the natural world that surrounds her. Ocean waves breaking on a seashore; irrigation patterns seen from an airplane window; the warmth of the summer sun shining on her head are some of the things that motivated her creations. In her exhibition “Yard Art”, her quilted wall hangings all measuring one yard square, are abstracts of what she experiences in her very own back yard.

Masks and Mirrors: Beautiful Reflections

June 4-July 31, 2022

Public Reception Saturday, June 4, 2022, 2 pm-4 pm

In this solo exhibition "Beautiful Reflections,” Elaine Weiner-Reed features a curated subset of abstract expressionist paintings and figurative sculptures from her Masks and Mirrors Collection. Her work juxtaposes strength and inner beauty with vulnerability and external imperfections. Focusing on the resiliency of the human spirit and one’s inner beauty, this artist invites us to redefine and transform existing definitions of BEAUTY in the 21st Century. We are greater than the sum of our parts.

Melissa Burley: Behind Closed Doors

June 4-July 7, 2022

Public Reception Saturday, June 4, 2022, 2 pm-4 pm

“Behind Closed Doors”, started as a curiosity fueled by the thought of “What is the mystery of the people behind these doors?” In an effort to give a glimpse, Melissa Burley combined and illuminated relics from people’s past. By using refurbished furniture parts, housewares, glass, antiques, and other found objects, Burley shows what could be the answer to her curious mystery.
