Spring 2022 Listening Room Artist in Residence

DC experimental funk band, Black Folks Don't Swim? will headline as our spring artists in residence, bringing their contagious energy, passion and artistry to the Listening Room Series. Self-described as gender diverse purveyors of funkified music, BFDS? will lead us through an exploratory journey, sharing performances, leading workshops, and inviting contribution through collaboration.

Chris Astilla, co-founder of genre bending DC arts collective, Counterclassic, will combine forces with local rapper, Grindstone to present an original hip-hop version of Mozart's beloved opera, Don Giovanni.
