Make Your Own Lava Lamp

Ages 5 to 10

Children will be making lava lamps with household items and no electricity.

The knowledge the children are walking away with is how the temperature of the water can affect the rate at which the molecules move when the alka seltzer tablet dissolves. This will be viewed by the children watching the "blobs" disperse throughout the "lava lamp".
