Annual Montpelier Festival of Herbs, Tea, and the Arts

Saturday, April 27, 2019

Adjacent to the Arts Center is the Montpelier Mansion/Historic Site. Visit the Mansion and stroll the beautiful grounds, where you can purchase art, crafts, food, herbs, plants, and more. Self-guided tours are available all year from 11 am to 3 pm (Thursday – Tuesday).

Welcome Spring and delight in the sights and sounds of nature, art, and history at this fun festival for the entire family, hosted by Montpelier Arts Center and Montpelier Historic Site!

Visit the resident artists’ studios, watch art demonstrations, paint the Montpelier bird, and create spring-themed crafts. Stroll the Arts Center’s galleries and view the exhibitions of Patricia Bowden, Jill Tanenbaum, and Cathy Abramson, and Incommunicado — a collaborative exhibition by Lori Boocks, Mark Cameron Boyd, Nancy Daly, Maren Hansen, and Molly Springfield. At 12 pm participate in a special Earth Day inspired activity and at 1 pm, join us in the Main Gallery for a classical recital featuring Ismar Gomes.

Unwind as you stroll Montpelier’s historic and beautiful surroundings, enjoy the flower and herb garden. Browse over 30 vendors of original-handmade items and local cuisine. Be the first to get your herbs and plants, and find the perfect Mother’s Day gift! Gain gardening tips from local master gardeners. Sip a delightful cup of tea with friends and family in the elegant South Wing.  Take a tour of the historic house, and let the kids play in the hands-on history playground. Enjoy music from a variety of performers.

Visit the web site to purchase Festival Tea Tickets!
