Explore the roots of the American Revolution. In 1765, Boston colonists began gathering around a large elm tree to voice their opposition to British rule. Learn how a tree became a symbol of a revolution, help plant a new “liberty tree” on the grounds of the museum, and celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding with light refreshments. This program is free, but registration is required.
