    M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County Announces Closure of All Facilities and Cancellation of All Programs Due to Snow – February 12, 2025 

    Spring Registration to continue online beginning at 9:00 am 

    Riverdale, Md – Due to ongoing inclement weather impacting the region, M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County announces the closures of all offices, facilities, and scheduled programs on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The safety of our community members and staff remains our highest priority. We encourage everyone to exercise caution and limit travel as necessary. 

    Effective Wednesday, February 12, the following adjustments will be in place: 

    • Spring registration for programs, classes, ticketed events, and more will proceed as scheduled online. Prince George’s County residents can begin registering at 9:00 am on February 12, while non-residents may register starting Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis at pgparksdirect.com. For assistance, please call 301-699-2255 to speak with a representative regarding account-related issues and general questions. 
    • All offices and facilities, including community centers, will be closed.
    • All recreational programs, including classes, events, and sports leagues, are canceled.

    M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County Announces Early Closure of All Facilities on February 11 

    Riverdale, Md – Due to inclement weather conditions in the forecast, The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County, announces that all offices and facilities will close promptly at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Ensuring the safety of our community members and staff is our highest priority. We urge everyone to take precautions and limit travel unless necessary during the storm. 

    Effective immediately, the following actions are being taken: 

    • All offices and facilities, including community centers, will close at 4:00 pm. 
    • All recreational programs, including classes, events, and sports leagues scheduled after 4:00 pm, will be canceled. 
    • Outdoor facilities, including playgrounds and sports fields, may be inaccessible.
